You Can Do It!
“Push on, keep going, don’t stop, keep it up, you can do it, you’re almost there!”
How many times have you heard those phrases directed at you? Did it work? Did you keep going? How good does it feel to hear people cheering you on when you’re struggling to accomplish something? I know I’ve heard those phrases before and it worked for me because I like to hear the cheers and encouragement.
Now let me ask you another question: How many times have you had to tell yourself to push on, to keep going, to keep it up and not stop? Do you tell yourself that you can do it and that you’re almost there?
I’ve had to tell myself that quite a bit lately, almost constantly. I’ve had a family emergency that required me to go out of town for a few days and in those few days I didn’t fit in a lot of time for exercise. I ate OK, but how good do you really eat when you’re not at home? Sure, you can watch your portions and limit the junk. Places like Baja Fresh, Rubio’s, Subway and Quizno’s are easy to behave at.
Now that I’m home, I’m still not back on track with the eating and exercise. My mother in law gave us a treadmill she wasn’t using and I hopped on that for about 15mins doing some run/walk exercise then got on the elliptical for about 20 more minutes. It’s amazing how fast your body forgets all the hard work you were doing. I was really feeling it yesterday.
Regardless, I have to keep telling myself to keep going, I’m almost there and that I can do it. I’m not doing it just for me though and that’s what makes it easier. I’m not even doing it so all you ladies out there can see me do the “Hasselhoff Bay Watch run” down the beach!
I’m changing my life for my family: for Tamie, Asya, Jacob and Nolan.

Right on, Jules!
