Nap Time
This Is Exactly How I Felt
The sun, the surf, the sand..a deadly mix of energy sapping powers! Why does a nap on the beach feel sooo good? I was drained by 4 o’clock. Why? No patch, plain and simple. I haven’t felt so tired since I started wearing the Infusion patch (energy patch).
Here’s a rundown of my day. I woke up at 7:30 and went to my brother in-laws to cut his grass, he had asked if I could after I borrowed his mower right before he left for a spring break road trip, came home and we went to Balboa Peninsula Park for the day. Tamie and I took a nice little walk while her mom watched the kids play on the sand. While we were walking we noticed some dolphins really close to shore. So close in fact that a guy pretty much walked out to where they were playing! They put on a good show and it was really refreshing to see that kind of display of wildlife.
I need to tell you that yesterday was perfect beach weather for families. Mid 70’s, light wind, small surf, and no big crowds! Tamie and I got back from the walk and we just people watched, watched the kids play and chit chat about nothing in particular. At about 4pm I started yawning. At about 4:15 I started contemplating a nap! I haven’t thought about a nap in weeks! I’ve been feeling energized all day when I have the patch on. Not today, I forgot to patch myself up in the morning and now I was feeling it.
I lay down on the sheet and made a nice body mold in the sand and within minutes I was sleeping like a hibernating bear! I was woken up a couple of times, once when my son Jake decided it was funny to drop a wet and sandy towel on my face. Who does that? Anyway, I woke up at about 5:30! A hour and a half nap. No way! Lesson learned, before I get going I’m slapping that patch on!

a trip to the beach on a thursday? gotta love that, kinda reminds me of high school.
You were out like a light! I told my mom, “He hasn’t napped like that in weeks!”
@Mike: heh heh heh!!
